A NEW RECONSTRUCTION TECHNIQUE
An implant that doesn’t require detaching the pectoralis major muscle
The use of biological matrices has led to the development of a new breast reconstruction technique that doesn’t affect the pectoralis major muscle. Compared to traditional reconstruction techniques that require detaching the muscle (and, as a result, loss of muscle function), this technique allows the implant to be placed over the pectoralis major muscle without the scalpel even touching it.
THE USE OF BIOLOGICAL MATRICES IS SUBJECT TO THE SURGEON’S DECISION, WHO MUST ASSESS THE INDICATIONS CASE BY CASE
